Macronutrients, commonly known as Macros refer to the amount of fats, carbs and protein that are present in your food. Each person has a different Macro balance, which can be calculated on your lifestyle choices, and personals stats.
So why do you need to know what Macros you are eating? Well this is a way of ensuring that you are receiving the right balance of these foods for your lifestyle choices. Fuelling your body this way, and being specific means that you will be at your peak for building muscle, burning fat and generally feeling great. Your body needs carbohydrates to fuel energy, proteins for repair and fats to keep us satiated, and finding the right balance of these will make a whole host of difference!
Counting macros may not be the most exciting thing you’ll do this year, but we promise you your body will thank you!
